An unexpected trip to Alton

On January 11, my mom called to tell me that my gramma had passed away. I immediately thought of all the times i should have called, what I should have said, and felt guilty. I think these are normal reactions to the loss of a loved one, especially when you live states away from them. That night, we went to Christie's birthday party (see last post), then prepared to travel for a funeral.
