We stopped just after we drove through Houston to look at the "ocean" and found the little town of Anahuac which a few weeks later was the taping spot for a Tropical Storm that hit the Texas coast.

We spent the night in Lafayette, Louisiana.
In the morning we drove to New Orleans...

We drove to Gulfport/ Biloxi and decided to spend the night so we could actually see the beach in the daylight.

Going to the Beach...
We were not very impressed with the beach. It was very dirty and the sand was not pretty. We were told later that this was due to Hurricane Katrina.

Until...
Mollie got stung by a jellyfish.
They put vinegar on it and in 30 minutes...she was good as new. It was scary for us...
But, Mollie was very brave.
And, before long she wanted to go back to the beach. Whew!
She wasn't scarred for life emotionally or literally.
A storm blew up while we were getting away from the water.
